Eterna
Timeless by design
In the 1970s, Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio was a little-known import recommended by Maître d's. Today, it is the #1 luxury imported Italian wine in the US. Yet for all that authority, the portfolio lacked an ultra-luxury white, and the broader Italian category offered few benchmarks beyond Gavi. The opportunity was clear: create a wine that would reframe what Italian white wine could be at its finest. The answer began with a name. Eterna, meaning eternal and everlasting, rooted the new brand immediately in the Marzotto family legacy and signalled a wine built to endure.
The custom bottle takes its form from the Santa Margherita villa itself, sculpted arches defining the glass and anchoring the brand in its architectural heritage. The arch becomes the primary brand asset, repeated as the label shape and carried throughout the identity system. The Marzotto crest and diamond pattern, drawn from the family shield, ground the design in lineage rather than ornament. The Santa Margherita logo sits within the arch as a halo brand, while the family signature brings an energetic flourish to the structure. Premium finishes do the rest: waxed closure, gold foiling, textured paperstock.
Each bottle celebrates the Santa Margherita legacy - past, present, and future.
