Grgich Paradise Block

For decades, Grgich Hills has been globally known for wines of the utmost elegance and quality. The Paradise Block Cabernet is a gem within Grgich’s highest-echelon Legacy tier. Created to honor the late founder and winemaker Miljenko ‘Mike’ Grgich, our brief was to continue the homage while elevating the Paradise Block to its rightful, luxury prestige. Our crucial considerations were to showcase key brand assets in a contemporary manner, while capturing timeliness elegance of the wine within the bottle, all while remaining understandable to longtime devotees.

Our approach was bold and brave, echoing founder Mike Grgich’s daring leap of faith as he crossed the ocean to the Napa Valley in 1958. Grgich’s Croatian coat of arms, signature grape cluster, and the Hills family horse emblem are on valiant display sculpturally embossed in bold; visually arresting against the Adriatic-inspired blue background. The blind embossed border is a subtle nod to the portfolio’s existing border system.

To further its pinnacle positioning as an ultra-luxury exclusive offering, we design a jewelry-box inspired 3-pack Paradise Block Box, underscoring the wine’s status as a true Napa Valley jewel.
