Global sales of no- and low-alcohol beverages are accelerating, with IWSR forecasting a 31% increase in consumption across 10 major markets by 2024. Our clients at Casa de Cha saw an opportunity to answer this demand with a beautifully blended sparkling tea: a product that not only satisfies the “no-alcohol” moment, but also taps into the broader “better for me” wellbeing trend. Naturally 100% sugar-free, with a fine bead and crafted complexity, the product promised a sophisticated alternative to both soft drinks and sparkling wine.
Denomination was tasked with creating a brand that didn’t look like a typical non-alc beverage, but instead felt sophisticated, appetising and credible in premium hospitality environments.
Our solution was Buds & Beads, a name that elegantly captures the essence of the product: the tea buds from which each blend is crafted, and the delicate bead of effervescence in every pour. The design draws on botanical illustration to celebrate the origin of each tea varietal, with colour-coded cues distinguishing the range. Tiny cream-foiled “beads” are scattered organically across the label, subtly referencing the fine fizz and bringing a layer of tactility and delight to the pack.
The result is a sparkling tea brand that is refined, modern and sensorial - a sophisticated non-alcohol option that feels right at home in the world’s most considered drinking occasions.
