Travla Beer
Capturing Australia’s wanderlust with Travla.
Travla is a beer brand that is quintessentially Australian: it evokes the adventurous spirit of Australia, as well as the adventurous spirit of its founder, Hollywood actor Travis Fimmel.
Denomination’s brief was to create a modern, simple, approachable and disruptive, that clearly communicated its better-for-you product attributes. Additionally, it had to have a call to action: the evocation of the adventurous spirit of Australia through its landscape, icons, people or personality; the beer should make you feel at home/in Australia even when you’re not.
Our creative solution was to create a series of landscape scenes: the outback, the rainforests, the beach – each one representing the future SKU portfolio. The logotype has a kangaroo draped around the L – taking in the scene in front of it. The landscape for the can is treated as a semi abstract colour play, with the clusters using evocative photography that links to the can via colour tone and placement. The brand call out “Don’t fence me in” and romance copy speaks to the adventurous aspect of Australians, and the better-for-you attributes are clean, simple and strong in terms of their execution and placement. The earthy colour palette feels uniquely Australian.
